Premjit, Dilip secure 35+ and 65+ singles titles at World Tennis Masters MT200 in Guwahati

Imphal, August 28 2026: State veteran Nongmaithem Dilip and N Premjit delivered strong performances to clinch the 65+ men's singles and 35+ singles titles at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Masters MT200 tournament hosted by the All Assam Tennis Association at its complex in Chachal, Guwahati.

Dilip defeated Ch Leishemsana 6-0 6-2 in an all Manipuri title clash to secure the top podium finish.

Dilip and Leishemsana however settled for the runners up in the doubles competition of the same age category following their 4-6 4-6 loss to Phukan Bharat and Mathew Shibu.

To everyone's delight, N Premjit won the 35+ men's singles title at the event with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Kh Indrakumar in the final.

The duo of Premjit and Indrakumar also went on to get the better of Norbu Pema and Pritam Das Sharma 6-1 6-4 to seal the 35+ doubles title.

RK Mohen who combined with Ghising Roshan Kant also finished runners up in the 45+ doubles competition with a 3-6 4-6 loss to Dhodi Singh and Zaffer Shahawaz in the title clash.
