THAU vs AKSDO in 3rd MNCA Women's T-20 Trophy title clash

THAU, Thangmeiband will square off against AKSDO, Khangabok in the title clash of the 3rd MNCA Women's T-20 Trophy 2024-25 tomorrow at at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.
THAU reached the final of the 10-team tournament organised in the league cum knock-out format by the Manipur Cricket Association with a 38-run victory against PTRC, Patsoi in a semi-final clash while ASKDO saw off FORCE, Kshetrigao by 46 runs in the other semi-final encounter.
THAU posted a total of 126 runs for 6 wickets after they were asked to bat first at their own backyard today by toss winners PTRC .
Chasing 127 for the win, PTRC amassed 88 runs for 8 wickets and eventually ended their journey.
Keisham Kalpana topscored for THAU with 44 off 53 balls as Changammayum Leithoi 32 and Konjengbam Nonibala 22 off 15 forged an unbeaten partnership of 37 runs for the 7th wicket to take the tally to 126.Laishram Linthoingambi (2/16 in 4 overs) picked two wickets for PTRC as Mangsatabam Chingkheileima (1/23), RK Linthoi (1/25) and Laitonjam Benita (1/23) picked up a wicket apiece.
RK Linthoi 20 off 16 balls and L Linthoingambi 20 off 22 balls led the scoring for PTRC in the chase as Thoudam Niruta (2/11 in 4 overs) and Hijam Malemkhombi (2/13 in 4 overs) shared four wickets for THAU to apply break to the chase H Kiranbala (1/27), K Nonibala (1/11) and N Sophiya (1/20) of THAU also chipped in with a wicket apiece.
K Nonibala who added 22 runs and picked a wicket was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Kongba Dhobi Lampak, AKSDO gathered 147 runs for 2 wickets after opting to bat first and held FORCE to 101/7 to seal the 46 run victory.
Ningthoujam Taniya blazed an unbeaten 66 off 61 balls to steer AKSDO to the big total as Moirangthem Diana 25 off 28 balls and Ningthoujam Langlen 21 off 18 balls registered double digit scores.
Farjiya (1/39) and Rahmatun Khanam (1/25) shared a wicket apiece for FORCE in this innings before Barkatun Khanam 44 off 38 balls and Sumeiya Shahni 23 off 33 balls led the chase in a lost cause.
Laishram Linthoi (2/7 in 3 overs), Thokchom Langlen Chanu (2/12 in 3 overs), Khundrakpam Bijiya (2/19 in 4 overs) led the AKSDO bowling attack as Thokchom Alish(l/20) claimed one to set up the win.
Taniya was adjudged player of the match.
The final match is slated tomorrow at THAU ground.
