Keisham Birjit Singh HS overwhelm Lamjao HS 12-0 in lopsided U15 Boys' final

Imphal, August 27 2026: Keisham Birjit Singh High School, Imphal West lifted the U15 Boys' title in the State Level Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament 2026 organised by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of Manipur at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

The Imphal West side prevailed 12-0 over Lamjao High School, Kakching district courtesy of four-goal performances from Kangujam Dinaraj and Sagolshem Yaikhomba.

With the title in sight, Keisham Birjit Singh High School Boys dominated from the onset and cruised to a 4-0 first quarter lead before pumping in 3 goals apiece in the second and the third quarters and 2 goals in the final period to complete the 12-0 rout of the Kakching district team.

Yaikhomba found the lead early in the 3rd minute before Dinaraj doubled the advantage two minutes later.

The scoring spree continued with Pukhrambam Ashudosh converting two field goals back to back in the 11th and the 15th minutes to swell the lead to 4-0.The Imphal West side carried forward the momentum in the second period and rode on strikes from Yaikhomba, Dinaraj and Ng Ngouba in the 17th, 23rd and 27th minutes to make it 7-0 before Dinaraj, Ng John and Yaikhomba found a goal each in the 32nd, 37th and 42nd minutes to pile further pressure on Lamjao High School.

Dinaraj and Yaikhomba then completed the demolition job by netting a goal apiece in the 48th and the 49th minutes.

Notably, Keisham Biijit Singh High School trounced Bishnupur Higher Secondary School 9-0 to make their way into the final yesterday while Lamjao High School outlasted Young Pioneer's English School 3-1 via tie breaker after a 3-3 draw in regulation time.

Jiribam schools crowned U17 winners

Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Hill Cross English School of Jiribam district, meanwhile clinched the U17 boys and Girls' titles.

Jiribam Higher Secondary School posted a 2-1 comeback win over Khurai Popular High School, Imphal East in the U17 Boys' final.

Hill Cross English School in the meantime edged Kakching Higher Secondary School of Kakching district 2-1 for the girls' title.
