13th MSL 2019-20: SSU dump DM RAO at bottom; AFC, KLASA share spoils

Imphal, February 27 2020: AFC Thoubal and KLASA Keinou ended in a 1-1 draw as DM RAO Sekmai continued to plunge further down the points tally as they lost their fourth match of the 13th Manipur State League 2019-20 to SSU Singjamei today.

SSU beat DM RAO 1-0.Today was the third win for SSU, who are in 4th position with 10 points trailing behind NISA (13 points), NEROCA FC (12 points) and Muvanlai Athletics (12 points) .

DM RAO have so far not opened their account yet.

The first match of the day at Khuman Lampak Artificial Turf Ground saw DM RAO playing their best against SSU as they held their defence for a long period of the game.

However, the last minutes of the game proved fatal as SSU's Th Chingkheinganba found the winning goal in the 85th minute.

DM RAO desperately tried to find an equalizer and end the match in a draw but they succumbed 0-1 in the hands of SSU.

In the second match of the day, a 1-1 draw forced KLASA Keinou and AFC Thoubal to share points.

Both the teams have so far not won any match.

KLASA, with one draw and 4 losses are trailing behind AFC Thoubal in the point tally with only one point.

AFC Thoubal, with 3 draws and 3 losses have so far earned 3 points.

The clash today saw H Romesh handing KLASA an early lead of 1-0 against AFC Thoubal 19 minutes into the first half.

Their defence tried their best to keep the score unchanged but AFC Thoubal found their equalizer in Th Suraj in the 23rd minute.

Even as the teams put up all their efforts to break off the tie, they ended up sharing the spoils.
