Imphal, February 27 2017: MPSC were held to a goalless draw by KRYPSHA while ESU, Wangkhei blanked YWC, Langthabal 5 goals to nil in the ongoing 8th AMFA Senior Women League for BM Trophy at the Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak today.

In the first match of the day, MPSC and KRYPSHA were locked in a goalless draw though both teams went all the way out to break the stalemate.

Though goalless, the match lived up to the billing of a keenly contested match with both teams putting their best foot forward and trying to forge ahead.

Evenly matched, but KRYPSHA had better ball possession and were more organised in the attack.

Their attack however fell short of getting a goal as the defenders of MPSC did a good job in marking each player and managed to clear the ball everytime it entered their zone.

The play also got a bit physical in the second half as the players went out all the way to find the net.

In the process, two players, Ng Anibala of MPSC and Y Hemolata of KRYPSHA were given the marching orders in the 71st minute of the match.

The score board remained blank when the long whistle was blown.

In the second match of the day, ESU, Wangkhei blanked YWC, Langthabal, outplaying them in every department of the game.

I Premeshori did the star turn for ESU scoring a hattrick with the first goal coming in the 15th minute of the match.

The first goal spurred the players of ESU all that more and taking control of the mid-field the ball went to I Premeshori who was lurking on top of the penalty box.

Neatly controlling the ball, Premeshori managed to outrun a couple of defenders and had little trouble in sending it into the far corner of the net in the 18th minute of the match.

I Premeshori was at it again in the 20th minute when she found the net and helped her team to go three goals up.

After Premeshori, Th Umapali came into her own and scored two goals in the 22nd and 37th minute to complete the humiliation of YWC, Langthabal.
