Asian Games Wushu athletes return to warm reception

Imphal, September 26 2026: State Wushu athletes and coach who were part of the Indian contingent at the Asian Games 2026 returned to a warm reception by the Wushu Association of Manipur and well wishers as they landed at Imphal International Airport today.

The athletes and coach who returned to Manipur include Mayanglambam Suraj, Langlenthoibi Hanjabam and Taolu coach Shanglakpa Chaobi Devi.

Sanda silver medallist Naorem Roshibina was, however, not part of the returning team, owing to a pending formal reception programme.

Notably, Suraj participated in the Changquan event and finished 11th with a 9.683 point finish at the continental event while Langlenthoibi scored 9.436 points in Nandao and 9.403 points in Nanquan on the way to her 9th place finish.

Expressing happiness over their feats, Wushu enthusiasts also wished continued success to the athletes and the coach.
