Hassle-free movement sought as FC Raengdai, TRAU prepare to host I-League 3 matches

As two local football powerhouses - TRAU FC and FC Raengdai gear up to host I-League 3 matches, FC Raengdai president Gangmei Angam has appealed to all concerned to ensure hassle-free movement of the players and smooth conduct of the event in Imphal.
Notably, TRAU FC clubbed into Group B and 2nd Premier League champions FC Raengdai drawn into Group A are set to take part in the 20-team fourth tier inter club domestic football tournament and will be hosting their group league matches at SAI Turf Ground and Khuman Lampak Main Stadium respectively.

Addressing mediapersons at Imphal Hotel in this regard, FC Raengdai president Gangmei Angam said that the Noney based club will be kick-starting their league campaign at home from tomorrow morning against ARA FC, Ahmedabad.
NEROCA FC were the first State team to qualify for the I-League, now called Indian Football League, followed by TRAU FC, he noted while adding that FC Raengdai look forward to follow the footsteps of the two local football giants and become the third State team to make it to the top flight tournament.
FC Raengdai bring together athletes of different ethnic backgrounds, making it a truly composite team, he said while encouraging all to spectate the Imphal leg matches free of cost.
He also appealed to all sections of the society and sports enthusiasts to ensure smooth movement and conduct of Imphal leg matches, to encourage the local and visiting teams, and further State's footballing cause.
FC Raengdai vs ARA FC match will begin at 9 am.
TRAU FC will on the other hand open their Group B campaign against Mumbay Football Club on April 28 at SAI Turf Ground.
Keinou Library and Sports Association (KLASA), Keinou are also competing in the tournament and are clustered in Group C alongside BLG - The Diamond Rock FC, Chhaygaon FC, Citadel Godavari Legends FC and Kuppuraj FC .
All the Group C matches will be conducted at Mulna Football Stadium, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.
