ISKF emerge team champions of 17th State Level Karate Do Championship

Imphal, February 24 2025: ISKF emerged overall team champions of the 17th State Level Karate Do Championship 2025 organised by the Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association (MAKA) at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex from February 22 .

ISKF secured as many as 50 gold, 26 silver and 31 bronze medals to finish atop as TSKA finished first runners up with 15 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals and Kanglasha finished second runners up with 15 gold, 9 silver and 6 bronze medals.

Yesterday, ISKF dominated the Kata event across various categories.

Sinthoiba Thiyam and Thiyam Jeninson of ISKF made the top two finish in the Kata event for 11 years old boys as compatriots Pratik Dhal (12 years), N Loyanganbi (7-8 years girls) and Shiny Potsangbam (8-9 years girls) finished on top of their respective categories.

Lanngambi Soram (9-10 years girls), Luwanganba Hijam (7-8 years boys) and Rajkumar Kabir (8-9 years boys), Billubihyan Mutum (9-10 years boys), Hikhomba Mutum (10 years boys), Rajkumari Ashakiran (11 years girls) of ISKF also finished first in their respective categories to add gold medals to their unit's tally.

Nirvan Kakchingtabam (12 years boys) and Jenia Chongtham (13 years girls) of ISKF further extended the gold medal tally for the unit before Billubigyan clinched a kumite gold in the boys -30 kg category competition.

N Loyanganbi (-25 kg), Shiny Potsangbam (-20 kg), Chandan Nepram (-30 kg) and Subharani (-40 kg) of ISKF also won gold medals in the girls kumite competition.
