Imphal, February 24: Kh Romesh's goal three minutes from end of normal period helped NISA, Thangmeiband script a solitary goal win over NEROCA, Laipham Khunou at Luwangsangbam ground and top the points table in the 2nd Manipur State League Football tournament.

With the win NISA has pocketed 33 points so far followed by the NEROCA side in second position on 32. In the day's other matches, Kakching's KFC downed PYC, Phoudel 3-2 at kakching, SSU (Singjamei) routed ESU 4-0 at the latter's home ground in Wangkhei, while MPSC outplayed host AMOFA 3-1 at Moirang and TRAU, Tiddim Road edged past visitors YWC, Thambalkhong 2-1 at THAU ground.

The Kakching goals were netted by T Premchand (3rd), Joseph Thonginlal (5th) and P Daram (89th) with Kh Kiran (8th) and W Nilakanta (70th) scoring the PYC goals.

In SSU's victory against ESU all the goals were scored by N Dhananjoy, while at Moirang goals from Ksh Kanta (13th) and I Nilakumar (25th, 46th) provided MPSC's victory against the home side.

Hosting YWC at THAU, TRAU came from behind to defeat the visitors when Jamkhotin and Hemkhosuan found the marks in the 56th and 68th minutes respectively after Th kala provided the breakthrough for the Thambalkhong side 27 minutes into the game.
