AMFA announces State team for Sub-Junior Boys' NFC

Imphal, October 22 2025: The All Manipur Football Association has announced the names of players shortlisted in the State team for the ensuing Sub-Junior Boys' National Football Championship 2025-26 Tier I to be hosted in Amritsar, Punjab.

The players who will be representing Manipur in the ensuing championship include-

Goalkeepers : Thingom Bishanta of Classic FA, Moirangthem Korounganba of Pandam FF;
Defenders : Sagolshem Yaiphaba of YVA, Parihanba Thokchom of TYDA, Lairenjam Roshan Meitei of RFCC, Ngangom Suman of Classic FA, Yendrembam Tomthinnganba of MEIRA FC, Maibam Tolen of MUFA, Sowar Edwin Awungshi of Classic FA;
Mid-fielders : Jamingam Mahung of Classic FA, Laishram Punshiba of TYDA, Th Sanatomba of TRAU, Wilber Elangbam of Thoi FA, Naorem Momo of MUFA, Sheikh Sahil of TRAU;
Hidam Yohenba of IMA FA, Hemat Dan of Classic FA, Liklai Lamabam of IYFC, Shandham
Malemnganba of SDC and Srinivash Heisnam of IMA FA.

AMFA also named Thangjam Boyai, Elangbam Robertson, Bachaspatimayum Sobikash and Nameirakpam Surchandra respectively as the team manager, head coach, physiotherapist Nameirakpam Surchandra as assistant coach.

Notably Manipur are drawn alongside Mizoram, Odisha and Bihar in Group A of the Tier I competition.

Manipur will open their campaign against Bihar on October 27 at Mount Litera Zee School Ground from 8.30 am .

Manipur will play Odisha in the next match on October 29 at Sri Guru Hargobind Football Stadium from 4 pm before playing Mizoram in the last league match on October 31 at Mount Litera Zee School Ground from 4 pm .
