Al-Ameen, YPHUC script comfortable wins in Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy

Al-Ameen, Lilong and YPHUC, Lalambung sealed comprehensive wins as SSC, Porompat earned a narrow win in today's league matches of the ongoing 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 .
In the Group A encounter staged at Moijing Public Ground, Al-Ameen crushed YESSDAN, Ningthoukhong by 8 wickets riding on Shohel Akter's all-round performance.
YESSDAN won the toss and opted to bat first but were bowled out for 74 runs in 24.5 overs before Al-Ameen chased down the target in 8.4 overs.

Shohel Akter enjoyed a fifer (5/18 in 7 overs) and Umar picked two wickets (2/8 in 4.5 overs) to set up the YESSDAN collapse before Thoubakmayum Tahasil 21 and Shohel Akter 21 not out led the Al-Ameen chase. Shohel Akter was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak,Taothong, YPHUC racked up 297 runs for all wickets down in 35 overs and restricted RULE, Meitram to 70 runs to register a huge 227 run victory and open their Group B campaign in style.
Irom Sunny 68 off 30 balls (12 fours and 1 six) and Birbal Irom 52 off 44 balls (8 fours and 1 six) led the YPHUC scoring as they won the toss and opted to bat first.
Birbal Irom (3/21) and Purujit Mutum (3/14) then devastated RULE batters in the chase as three others picked a wicket apiece.
For RULE, N Lannagmba (3/62), Sanathoi Sanjenbam (2/63) and S Indrakumar (2/16) shared 7 wickets as two other bowlers claimed a wicket apiece.
S Sanathoi 17 and S Indrakumar 12 were the only double digit run getters for RULE in their dismal chase.
In the Group D match staged at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, SSC were bundled out for 123 runs in 31 overs but successfully defended their lowly total by bowling out CYSA, Khangabok for 112 runs in 29.5 overs.
Anish Lasker 30, Mausher Khan 16 and Md Anas 15 led the scoring for SSC after they won the toss and elected to bat first before Ruhan Bm ran through the CYSA batting line up by claiming 6 wickets (6/23 in 7 overs) .
Ilhan of SSC also picked two wickets (2/14) to set up CYSA collapse at 112 .
For CYSA, Ningthoujam Sanamacha (3/17), N Abungcha (2/14) and W Atomba (2/33) shared a bulk of 7 wickets but only M Sanathoi 25 and W Aijak 20 registered double digit score in the chase .
