Imphal, August 18 2026: As many as 7 athletes from Manipur are set to represent the Nation in the 26th World Masters Athletics Championships beginning on August 22 at Daegu, South Korea.

Thiyam Radhesana (Women's + 45 yrs), Lairenlakpam Bembem (Women's + 45 yrs), Ningombam Amitrasen (Men's +35 yrs), Dr Takhellambam Umesh (Men's +40 yrs) Sorokhaibam Goutam (Men's +50 yrs), Leimapokpam Chaoba (Men's +55 yrs) and Toijam Rojikumar (Men's +55 yrs) are the athletes who will be representing the Nation at the championships that will see over 7,400 athletes competing across 34 track, field, and road events.

The State athletes were flagged off today from Imphal International Airport.
