Imphal, April 17 2026: Classic FA were held to a 2-2 draw by Jamshedpur FC in the Group B opening match of the AIFF Elite Youth League 2025-26 at Football Stadium, Mahilpur this morning.

Jamshedpur FC found the lead after 17 minutes courtesy of Lawmsangzuala but Classic FA drew level in the 50th minute through Yumnam Bishorjit before Irom David overturned the lead in the 82nd minute.

Classic FA almost sealed all three points but Lawmsangzuala struck deep five minutes into the stoppage time to salvage the 2-2 draw.

Notably, Classic FA reached the final round by securing pole position in the Zonal Group (J) stage undefeated.

They amassed 28 points off 9 wins and 1 draw in 10 matches as TYDA, Toubul finished group runners up on 23 points off 7 wins and 2 draws.

In another Group B match staged later in the day at the same venue, Mohun Bagan Super Giant played out a 1 -1 draw with Gokulam Kerala FC.

Gokulam Kerala FC found the lead through Sheril Shaji Thomas (45') right before the break only to be cancelled out by Bharat Lairenjam in the 53rd minute for Mohun Bagan Super Giant.

Elsewhere at Ramsar Sahib Sports Stadium, Paddi Sura Singh, Sudeva Delhi FC edged past FC Goa by 2-1 goals to open their Group (A) campaign on a winning note this morning.

Md Mahmad Sami (68', 76') scored both the goals for the Delhi outfit while Sherlock Dias (71') scored the lone goal for FC Goa in between Sami's strikes.

In another Group A match staged later in the evening, Bengaluru Football Club beat Football 4 Change Academy in a five-goal thriller.

Kishor Tiwari (17', 45+4') scored both the goals for Football 4 Change while Aarav Gharat (33'), Cyrus Abhilash (50') and Lal Singh Purty (90+2') were on target for Bengaluru FC .
