Ranji Trophy Plate Group : Manipur trail Sikkim by 119 runs at stumps on Day 2

Manipur closed out the Day 2 of their first Ranji Trophy Plate group tie at 189/4 against hosts Sikkim who posted 308 runs in their first innings at SICA ground, Rangpo.
Resuming their innings at 265/7 (in 90 overs), Sikkim could add only 43 runs in 16.5 overs to their tally this morning to finish their first innings at 308 .
Palzor who was unbeaten on 7 yesterday, got run out for the 8th wicket on 15 with Naesh Hussain doing the honour before L Kishan Singha bowled out Sikkim skipper Lee Yong Lepcha on 22 as the scoreboard read 292 .
Naesh Hussain, who had collected the scalps of Ashish Thapa 22 and K Sai Satwik 5 earlier yesterday, then trapped Bijay lbw out to wind up the Sikkim's first innings.
With the final wicket, Naesh Hussain returned with bowling figures of 3/52 in 13.5 overs as Bishworjit finished with the best figures of 4/69 in his spell of 26 overs that included 8 maidens.
Continuing the day, Manipur had a slow start to the innings and slipped to 81/4 as Y Kamajit (10 off 27 balls), Khwairakpam Ulenyai (32 off 90 balls, 3 fours), M Ronald (10 off 34 balls, 1 four) and Johnson (20 off 34 balls) failed to make a mark with Gurinder Singh claiming the first two wickets and Ankur and Lee Yong Lepcha sharing a wicket apiece.
After the slow start, K Priyojit, who came in at number 5, scored his seventh first class half century (63 not out off 141 balls; 8 fours, 1 six) and saw out the day with an unbeaten 108-run partnership with Ph Jotin (41 not out off 100 balls, 4 fours) to make it 189/4 after 71 overs.
