AMVA lines up volleyball tournaments, referees' clinics and examination

Imphal, August 16 2025: The All Manipur Volleyball Association has announced the venues and schedules for tournaments of various age groups beginning from August 24 onwards.

The venues and dates were fixed during an executive council meeting of the association held at Mapal Kangjeibung on August 12, said an office order issued in this regard.

As per the order, the 24th Mini Boys and Girls StateVolleyball Tournaments 2025-26 will be held from August 24 to 28 at Thambal Marik College.

The 45th Junior Boys and Girls State Volleyball Tournaments 2025-26 will in the meantime be held from August 30 to September 3 at Naorem, Nambol.

The 24th Sub-Junior Boys and Girls State Volleyball Tournaments and the 49th Senior Men and Women's Volleyball Tournament 2025-26 will, on the other hand, be held at Khuman Lampak.

The tournament for subjunior boys and girls will be held from September 13 to 15 while the senior's tournament will be held from September 16 to 20 .

Further, the AMVA in a circular informed all clubs and associations that the "Referees' Clinics" and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade Referees' Examination will be held on August 22 at Thambal Marik College, Oinam.

Coaches' Candidate Course will also be held at the same venue from August 23 in collaboration with NSS-Unit, Thambal Marik College, it said.

All affiliated units and clubs may send 3 men and 3 women who are willing to give referees' examination 2025-26 and the course for coaches, it said.

The last date of application submission is August 21, it said.

It also listed eligibility criteria for the candidates including educational (Class XII Exam passed/National player who have passed Class X), and age (below 40 years).

Admission fee for all grades is Rs 1,000, the circular added.
