Manipur, having registered landslide victories against Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya in the previous matches, were bundled out for 198 runs in 47.5 overs after winning the toss but Rain and Chingkhei Nganba devastated the Mizoram batting line up and bowled them out for 111 runs within 38.5 overs to seal the comfortable victory.

Fela then went on to dismiss Thomsan (17 off 43 balls) for the fifth wicket before Rain (24 off 44 balls), Danish (20 off 17 balls) and Oinam Reolin (14 off 21) made little but significant contributions to take Manipur close to 200-run mark.
Fela also succeeded in claiming two wickets late on to emerge Mizoram's best bowler of the day with a 4/48 finish as Mal Sawm Muan Zela (2/27), Dawnga (2/28) and Hlimpuia (2/40) shared 6 wickets among them.
In response, Mizoram faced stiff opposition from Manipuri bowlers and slumped to 77/6 in 23.3 overs overs as Rain set up Peka run out for the first wicket before getting rid of Valpuia on 44-ball 28, Hlimpuia on 21-ball 5 and Mal Sawm Muan Fela on 11-ball 11 while Chingkhei Nganba dismissed Mapuia on a 29-ball 15 and Mutum Swabhiman undone Manese on a 23-ball 2.Lucky also joined the party by dismissing Dawnga on a 31-ball 10 for the 7th wicket before Chingkhei Nganba completed his treble of wickets (3/16 in 8 overs including a maiden) by dismissing Zodina on a 40-ball 14 and Hmingthana on a 3-ball duck.
