ESU, RCA, AKSDO, BLUE HAWK triumph in MNCA T-20 Trophy

ESU, RCA, AKSDO and BLUE HAWK emerged victorious in Friday's fixtures of the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2024-25.ESU dominated KCDCO by 5 wickets in their encounter at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
ESU made light work of KCDO's 115, racing to victory in just 12.4 overs.
Opener Sanatomba set the tone with a rapid 31 off 19 balls (5 fours), while Chongtham Mehul Shreth (25 off 21) and Sagolshem Ronal Meitei (23 off 16) ensured no hiccups in the chase.
Earlier, KCDO struggled against ESU's varied attack.
Chitaranjan Sharma (3/12) and Thokchom Nishikanta Singh (2/16) were the pick of the bowlers, exploiting the conditions brilliantly.
Only Md Ajizur Rahman (39 off 40) offered resistance for KCDO.
BLUE HAWK also prevailed by an identical 5-wicket margin against YWC at Lairenjam Public Ground.
In a match that went down to the wire, BLUE HAWK showcased composure under pressure to chase down YWC's total of 139/9 with just five balls to spare.
The chase was anchored by Amom Guniram Singh, whose elegant 47 off 34 balls (6 fours, 1 six) steadied the innings after early wobbles.
He was ably supported by Seram Nandakishore (17* off 19), who saw the team home in the final over.
Earlier, YWC's innings was a mix of aggression and collapses.
Yenshenbam Vivek Singh provided fireworks with a blistering 30 off 16 balls (3 fours, 2 sixes, SR 187.50), but Moirangthem Romesh Singh (3/17) and Heishnam Manikanta (3/26) kept the scoring in check with disciplined bowling.
RCA outclassed CRAU by 50 runs at Khudelband Lampak, Taothong (Lamshang).
Defending a modest 110, RCA's bowlers produced a masterclass to skittle CRAU for a paltry 58 in 13.5 overs.
Mohd Nasirshah Alam Nong-jaimayum produced a lethal spell, taking 4/14, while Md Danish Khan (2/6) and Naesh Hussain (2/20) provided valuable support.
CRAU's batting never got going, with only captain Lamabam Ajay Singh (16 off 27) reaching double figures.
RCA's fielding was sharp, with three run-outs adding to CRAU's misery.
Elsewhere, AKSDO defeated CDCC by 29 runs.
AKSDO posted a competitive 150/7, thanks to a whirlwind 42 off 21 balls (4 fours, 3 sixes) from Prameshwor Moirangthem.
Captain Chin-glensana Moirangthem (26 off 26) and Laishram Samson Meetei (27 off 32) provided stability in the middle overs.
In reply, CDCC never gained momentum against AKSDO's disciplined attack.
Saikhom Kaiku Meetei was the destroyer-in-chief, claiming a sensational 5/22, while Mutum Jodiba (3/14) and Saikhom Lanchenba Meitei (3/12) ensured CDCC folded for 121 in 18.1 overs.
