5th MNCA Boys U14 One Day Trophy 2025-26 : KSDO on roll, demolish KCC by 303 runs for third successive win

Imphal, May 12 2026: KSDO, Kyamgei cruised to their third straight Group C victory in the 5th MNCA Boys U14 One Day Trophy 2025-26 by handing KCC, Kongba Bazar a 303-run defeat today at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.

Having secured comprehensive wins against PTRC and WYC, KSDO rode on half century knocks from Mohammad Gunbas (87 not out off 33 balls; 10 fours and 6 sixes), Sangomsumpham Arish (87 off 69 balls; 11 fours and 4 sixes) and Kh Firdos to rack up 335/4 in the allotted 30 overs and bowled out KCC for 32 runs within 13.2 overs riding on exemplary bowling feats from Khutheibam Abu Sufiyan (4/10 in 5 overs), Mohammad Gunbas (2/9 in 4 overs) and Kh Firdos (2/12 in 4 overs) .

Ch Yohenba (2/39), Niyas Khan (1/59) and Kangjam Lamnganba (1/56) were among the wickets for KCC today before they had a nightmarish chase that culminated at 32 .

Niyas Khan 7 off 24 balls was the highest run getter for KCC as 5 batters departed on ducks and others ended up scoring meagre scores.

Gunbas who dazzled with an allround show was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, PTCC, Patsoi Part III opened their Group E winning account by clinching a commanding 90-run victory over LCC, Lamshang.

Asked to bat first, PTCC were dismissed for 125 runs in 27 overs before LCC slumped to 35 all out within 13 overs with N Langamba (4/5 in 3 overs), Nungchengbam Soraisam (3/4 in 4 overs) and Hirachandra Laitonjam (3/13 in 3 overs) of PTCC running riot with their clinical bowling performances.

Harishor Mayengbam topscored for PTCC adding 38 runs off 46 balls followed by Champion Khomdram 20 off 38 balls and Nungchengba Soraisam 14 off 20 balls.

For LCC, Omega Meitei Senjam claimed four (4/30) and Chota Bheem picked three (3/15) but their efforts went in vain as Chota Bheem 5, Leitanthem Kabinas 4 and Hera Thongam 1 found their names on the scoresheet while 7 others were dismissed for naughts.

The Group F match scheduled at Moijing Public Ground saw THAU getting a walkover win as rivals Al-Ameen did not turn up in required strength.
