Inter Manipuri Kang Tournament begins in Sylhet

Thoubal, June 10 2025: The 3rd edition of the Inter Manipuri Kang Toumament 2025 was launched yesterday at Noyabazar community hall, Sylhet by the Noyabazar Manipuri Para under the aegis of the Sylhet Manipuri Kang Association.

The tournament is being organised to preserve and promote the game indigenous to Manipuris in the area.

The opening match of the tournament saw Salai Taret Kangkhut beat Shibgonj Lainingthou by 17-11 margin.

In the second match, Noyabazar Kangkhut thrashed Shamama Leikai Kangkhut by 20-9 margin before Thoudam Mahadeo Kangkhut beat Kaptuna Nayabazar Kangkhut by 9-7 margin in the keenly contested third match.
