Guwahati, October 07:
Manipur opened its point account in the 1st North East Challenge Hockey Tournament here even before entering the playing zone due to forfeiture of a scheduled match by Nagaland.
Manipur will face Mizoram tomorrow.
In the day's other match between Assam Regiment and Tripura, the former won by half a dozen goals without reply with Prakash Das slamming the Tripura board on three occasions.
N Ibomcha (9th), Lalthazuana (23rd) and M Romen (43rd) chipped in with one apiece to bulge the Regiment score.
Six players from Manipur are playing for the Assam Regiment side.
