CM fetes CWG Boxing silver medallist Mandengbam Jadumani

Imphal, August 05 2026: Chief Minister Yumnam Khem-chand Singh today feted Commonwealth Games silver medallist Jadumani Singh Mandengbam and his parents at the CM Secretariat, Imphal today.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to the pugilist for his outstanding achievement, which has brought laurels to both the State and the Nation.

The Chief Minister conveyed his best wishes to him ahead of the Asian Games 2026, expressing confidence in his ability to secure a gold medal.

Lauding the sports movement in Manipur, the Chief Minister remarked that sporting excellence continues to promote the State's prestige on the National and global stage.

"We are immensely proud of our sportspersons," he said.

He also assured that the State Government would extend every possible support to all sportspersons.

Later, Jadumani expressed his profound gratitude for the Chief Minister's encouragement and motivational guidance.

He noted that the "interaction has further strengthened my resolve to deliver exceptional performances in future competitions" .

He also made a humble appeal to the people of the State to extend their prayers and good wishes for his campaign at the upcoming Asian Games in Japan.

MLA Kh Raghumani, YAS Secretary N Praveen Singh, and SP (Sports) L Sarita Devi, were present during the meeting.
