PCC, ESU script third wins in 4th MNCA Men's U19 One Day Trophy

Imphal, June 05 2026:
PCC, Mayaikoibi and ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound sealed their third Group stage wins in the ongoing 4th MNCA Men's U19 One Day Trophy.
At Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, PCC crushed SU by 117 runs for the third Group B victory courtesy of half century knocks from Maverick Wakambam and Rahis Khan and Lamnganba Nongmaithem's four wicket haul.
Maverick struck 57 off 83 balls including 3 fours and 1 six while Rahis Khan scored a quickfire 53 off just 28 balls laden with 7 fours and 2 sixes to steer PCC, who were asked to bat first, to 221/10 in 39.2 overs.
Lamnganba (4/13) and Moirangthem Hirachandra (2/15) then led the PCC bowling attack to dismantle SU for 104 runs in 27 overs.
For SU, Keisham Malemnganba (3/15), A Romen (2/7), Philan Rajkumar (2/29), and David Keisham (2/54) shared 9 crucial wickets before their chase failed horribly.
Only Jenibas 17, Philan 14 and Malemnganba 16 made double digit runs for SU in their dismal chase.
W Mudakir, P Tashan and W Maverick also chipped in with a wicket apiece for PCC to cut SU innings short.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, ESU sealed their third win and extended their unbeaten run to four games in the Group D competition by defeating Al-Ameen by 122 runs.
Hanjabam Donba scored a 92-ball 110 filled with 8 fours and 5 sixes to guide ESU to a modest total of 236/9 in the allotted 40 overs before Thokchom Simesh ran riot to pick five wickets (5/26 in 8 overs) and led in bundling out Al-Ameen for 114 runs in 35.5 overs.
Thokchom Simesh 37 and Soibam Venus 28 also made significant contributions for ESU, who won the toss and elected to bat first.
The innings saw Umar (3/26), Thoubalmayum Aarish (2/58) and Makakmayum Rashid Ahamed (2/23) of Al-Ameen sharing 7 crucial wickets.
In reply, Singamayum Tarique 20, Umar 18 and Shohel Akter 15 emerged as the only double digit run getters for the team as ESU's Simesh, Sayonba (2/24) and Devashree (2/25) shared 9 wickets among them to keep things tight.
In a Group D match staged at Khudeiband Lampak, AKSDO defeated KASC, Khomidok by 179 runs for the second win in three matches.
