Imphal, July 03 2019: Agartala Range beat Khatkhati Range 4-1 while Dibrugarh Range edged past Kohima Range 1-0 whereas Guwahati Range thrashed Silchar Range 10-1 and Imphal Range blanked Bongaigaon Range 6-0 in the ongoing NE Zone Inter Range Football Tournament 2019, organized under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs by GC, CRPF Imphal at Football Ground GC, CRPF, Langjing today.

In the first match of the day, Agartala Range outclassed Khatkhati Range by 4-1 goals powered by two goals through Rajvanshi in the 19th and 30th minutes while Manoj Boro and Perimal added two more goals in the 43rd and 53rd minute to wrap up the match with convincing 4-1 goals.

The lone goal of Khatkhati Range was scored by HP Hoakip in the 55th minute.

In the second match, Dibrugarh had a narrow 1-0 win over Kohima Range through Sunaram Murmu in the 17th minute.

In the third match, Guwahati Range crushed Silchar Range 10-1 led by MT Ngaranmi who have scored five goals (1', 7', 32', 39', 52') in this one-sided match followed by three goals by Manoj Kumar Brahma (8', 12' 16') and one goal each from MS Meitei and Akhil in the 3rd and 44th minute respectively.

Rantu Dewary scored a face saving goal in the 45th minute for Silchar Range.

In the last match of the day, Imphal Range continued its impressive form defeating Bongaigaon Range by 6-0 goals.

C Haokip scored the opener one minute into the game which was doubled by Bhupen Boro in the 16th minute.

The lead was further extended by C Hoakip in the 43rd minute to 3-0 while Iboyaima scored the 4th goal in the 50th minute for Imphal Range.

Bhupen Boro again scored two successive goals in the 52nd and 53rd minute to seal the match with 6-0 goals.

Tomorrow's match:
Guwahati Range will take on Kohima Range at 6.30 am in Pool-B league match while Bongaigaon Range will meet Agartala Range at 7.30 am in Pool-A league match.

Dibrugarh Range will face Silchar Range in Pool-B league match at 2.30 pm while Imphal Range will square off with Khatkhatti Range in Pool-A league match at 4 pm .
