W Lanchenba, M Rama and Kh Budha seal top honours in 42nd National Arm Wrestling Championship

Imphal, August 01 2025: W Lanchenba, Mutum Rama and Khoisnam Budha of Arm-Sport Association, Manipur bagged top honours in the 42nd National Arm Wrestling Championship that was held at South Point School, Barsapara, Guwahati from July 29 .

W Lanchenba bagged the first place in the senior men's -70 kg category's left hand event.

He also finished third in the right hand event.

Mutum Rama competing in the Masters' 75 kg bagged the first position in the left hand event and 2nd position in right arm competition as Khoisnam Budha earned the pole position in the Ultra Masters 90 kg category's left hand event and second place in the right hand event.

Other athletes of the Arm-Sport Association, Manipur, who made top three finishes, include Lenial Maibam (3rd in right hand event for junior boys' -55 kg category), Lourembam Neerajkumar (2nd in right hand event for junior boys' -63 kg category), Y Hemchand (3rd in right hand event for junior boys' -78 kg category), Laishram Lukesh (2nd in right hand event for junior boys' + 78 kg category), Aheibam Lemba (3rd in right hand and 2 in left hand events for senior men's -55 kg category), Laishram Lukesh (2nd in senior men's 105 kg category left hand event), Aheibam Dinesh (2nd in left hand event for senior men's 95 kg category), Laimayum Premson Sharma (2nd in right hand event for Masters 90+ kg category) and Ningthoujam Ramesh (2nd in right and 3rd in left hand events for Ultra Masters 75kg category) .
