National Thang-Ta coaches' training concludes

Imphal, June 01 2024: The four-day National Thang-Ta Technical Official & Coaches' Training 2024, held at Thang-Ta Shanglen, Yumnam Huidrom, Imphal West, concluded on May 30, 2024.Laishram Ibomcha Khuman, State Kala Akademi awardee & president Langol Lukhoi Thang-Ta Sindamshang; Huidrom Premkumar Singh, technical chairman Thang-Ta Federation of India; and Thounaojam Priyokumar Singh, former secretary Thang-Ta Federation of India, attended the closing event as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.

The training was participated by 60 Thang-Ta coaches from various states of the country, including Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Bihar, Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the host state, Manipur.

During the training, the participants learned about manual and digital scoring and results, as well as Thanglon, Khonglon-Khutlonand Thang-Haiba.

The closing event also saw Thang-Ta Maheikol, Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur, and Thang-Ta Federation of India jointly observe the 91st Thang-Ta Revival Day.

The coaches also paid floral tributes to late Thang-Ta legend RK Sanahal.
