Month-long Wheelchair Basketball Coaching Camp concludes

Imphal, September 30 2026: Month-long Residential Coaching Camp organised by the Wheelchair Basketball Association, Manipur (WBAM) at CYLC Basketball Court, Singjamei Chingamathak came to a close today.

The closing function of the camp was attended by L Dhaneshwor, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department; Lairenjam Geetranjan, secretary MNCA; Ch Koireng, former member, Manipur State Women's Commission; Dr Sapam Jasovanta, chairman, Handicapped Development Foundation and Maibam Gunibala, vice president, Chingamathak Apunba Nupi Lup.

Four new players who joined Wheelchair Basketball were also presented with T-Shirts on the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, L Dhaneshwor highlighted the recent achievements of the State players in the National and international arena and the gradual growth of the discipline in the State.

Maintaining that the camp will prove beneficial to all the attendees, he also noted the importance of more training grounds and facilities.
