Imphal, April 30 2025:
Manipur's Meinam Milky struck a gold medal while Kh Rudraksh settled for a silver medal as India topped the U-15 category with a rich haul of 25 medals at the Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championship held in Amman, Jordan.
Meinam Milky, who was among 6 State boxers who made it to the National team, competed in the U-15 girls' 43 kg category and defeated Alimkhanova Raykhona of Uzbekistan for the gold medal category while Rudraksh competed in the U-15 boys' 46 kg.
Meanwhile, S Linthoi (U-15 girls' 49 kg) .
Khwairakpam Nelson (U-15 boys' 55 kg) and L Ambedkar (U-17 boys' 48 kg) won bronze medals.
L Radhamani (U-17 girls' 57 kg) also participated in the championship.
Notably, O Gita Chanu was the head coach for the U-17 squad and L Radia was the coach for the U-15 squad, who led the team.

National Sports Academy, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex has extended congratulations to its students M Milky, Kh Nelson and L Ambedkar who represented India at the games and brought home medals.
Milky, daughter of Meinam Dhamen and M Yaima Leima of Thamnapokpi and Nelson, son of Heikham Manitombi of Khurkhul are Class VIII students and L Ambedkar, son of L Madan and L Babita Leima of Lamlai Makha Leikai read in Class X, said NSA in a congratulatory note.
The players trained under the supervision of Moirangthem Shyamchandra and Thokchom Jiten, it added.
