Imphal, January 28 2025: Some bones, including a skull, suspected to be of human, were discovered on Tuesday around 9:20 am nearby the government quarters at Babupara, Imphal.

The skeletal remains were found by some labourers engaged to collect soil from the Imphal riverbed.

According to police, the information was relayed to the police control room at 9:30 am, following which a suo-moto case has been registered under Section 194 of the BNSS Act.

Investigation is underway to identify the origin and circumstances surrounding the discovery.
