Mayang Imphal residents rue frequent flooding

Kakching, June 25 2025: Low lying areas in Konchak Makha Leikai of Mayang Imphal assembly constituency are facing waterlogging due to heavy rainfall since the past few days, with the residents blaming poor drainage system for the inundation.

Speaking to media persons, one RK Roben informed that the locality experiences floodlike situation every year, forcing many to move to higher ground.

While stating that the residents have facing similar distressful situations, including many developing health issues, for the past many years as well as at present, he appealed to authority concerned and the local MLA to look into their plight.
