SFs prevent three from entering Kpi

Imphal, August 23 2024: Security forces on Friday prevented an elderly woman and her two grandsons aged six and 12 years from entering Kangpokpi.

According to police report, a combined team of Imphal West police, 152 Bn CRPF and 22 AR on frisking and checking operation at Kanglatongbi Forest Gate (NH 2) around 11 am encountered the elderly identified as Renu (77) of Khurkhul heading towards Motbung with her two grandchildren.

On being questioned, the woman disclosed of planning to visit their home at Motbung which they abandoned due to ongoing crisis.

All three of them were then handed over to Sekmai police station around 12 noon on Friday.
