On duty police constable dies

Imphal, February 23 2025: A police constable, who was on duty at Wangoi Telecom Office, lost consciousness and passed away on Saturday night.

The deceased constable has been identified as Thingujam Amarjit Singh (43), son of Th Gune of Yumnam Huidrom Awang Leikai.

According to police report, after he fainted, Amarjit was taken to CHC, Wangoi for treatment but the doctor on duty could not save him.

An unnatural death case has been registered at Wangoi police station and the body handed over to the family on Sunday after conduct of post mortem at RIMS Morgue.
