Jiribam, February 06 2025: The proposed indefinite economic blockade and total Jiribam shutdown called by the District Hospital Monitoring Committee over lack of adequate staff and infrastructure at District Hospital, Jiribam has been suspended after some of the demands laid by the committee were granted by the authorities concerned.

Speaking at a press meet, Phanjoubam Monteshori stated that the decision to suspend the agitation comes after the Medical Director of Jiribam District granted some of their demands and assured them to fulfill their remaining demands in coming days.
