Imphal, June 02 2016:
Naga Students' Federation (NSF) has clarified
that it never supported the three Bills passed by the Manipur Leg-
islative Assembly at NESO meeting held at Guwahati on May 17.
In fact, the three Bills were not discussed in the meeting
at all, said a statement.
Saying that certain organisations or individuals tried to
distort the facts and twist the story according to their vested
agenda, NSF said that it would not be tolerated at all.
As per the NESO meeting, NSF said, the memorandum to
the Prime Minister would be submitted through the respective
State Governors.
The memorandum is a reminder submitted to the UPA
Government in 2013.
The concern of NSF is on the continuous influx of illegal
migrants from the neighbouring countries, the statement added.
NSF has been fighting and shall continue to fight against
any kind of Acts or Bills which are against the interest of
Nagas irrespective of the artificial/arbitrary boundaries.
Dragging NSF's name by some elements to the three infamous anti-tribal Bills was unfortunate, it added.
