AR saves snake bite victim

Imphal, July 01 2024:
Assam Rifles provided life-saving assistance to a snakebite victim from Monsang Pantha village in Chandel District on Sunday.
As per a press release by PRO IGAR (South), residents of Monsang Pantha sought immediate help when a 13-year-old boy was bitten by a Chrysopelea snake while working in the fields.
The villagers rushed the boy to Assam Rifles Unit Hospital, where the medical officer administered anti-snake venom and other necessary symptomatic treatments.
Once the patient stabilised, he was transferred to a tertiary hospital for further evaluation and observation, the release informed.
