Union condemns assault of driver

Imphal, October 31 2024: Inter-State Bus Drivers and Workers' Union, Imphal has strongly condemned the assault of a driver of an Imphal-Guwahati passenger bus on the night of October 28.In a statement, the union informed that the driver, Md Bashir Ahmad alias Boicha, s/o Md Alauddin of Kwakta, was assaulted by some unidentified miscreants, who chased him in a car.

The incident took place in Sunusiphai Mayai Leikai area around 9.30 pm.

The union demanded clarification from those responsible for the assault within five days.
