Imphal, March 20:
Ex-Minister N Biren Singh has refuted the media report that he attempted to molest one Alina Gadi, central member of Social Welfare Advisory Board, New Delhi recently.
A press release issued by the ex-Minister explaining the events of the day said that he went to Alina's place in Delhi on her request to attend her birthday.
After having meal there, Biren was preparing to leave, but she allegedly asked him to stay back.
This was followed by a little scrambling and nothing more happened.
But as Biren was heading to airport, he was summoned to a police station on mobile phone saying that a complaint has been filed against.
Subsequently he went to the police station and talked for a while before he left for airport without any problem.
But he missed his flight and had to leave Delhi on the next day.
Flatly rejecting the report on molest attempt, the ex-Minister also denied furnishing PR bond of Rs 30,000.
