Imphal, February 15 2022: Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR(S) intercepted illicit cash of Rs 9.11 lakh at Khudengthabi Check post on Feb 14 .

The Assam Rifles troops during routine checks came upon the illicit money being carried by two individuals coming from Moreh in a Maruti Alto car.

On being questioned, the individuals could not explain the source of the money, said a statement issued by PRO Assam Rifles.

The two individuals along with the seized currency and the vehicle have been handed over to Moreh Police for further action.
