Imphal, February 15, 2010: Extra efforts are being put in to open a dental college in RIMS within the current year which would only be the second in the entire North East region, said RIMS Director Prof L Fimate.

Speaking to The Sangai Express, Prof Fimate said that infrastructure development work of the proposed dental college has been already entrusted to the Hospital Service Consultation Corporation.

Preparations are being made to open the dental college in TB Hospital as an adhoc measure before construction work of the dental college is completed, Fimate said.

Required posts of faculty members have been created.

Also, order for procuring nine dental chairs has been already sent, the Director added.
