Senapati, March 11 2025: In a joint operation, Senapati district police including women personnel and D-78 CRPF seized suspected opium during frisking and checking operation near Mt Everest College, Senapati along the NH-2 .

At about 11:30 am Tuesday, the joint team of Senapati Police Special Operation team (SOT) led by sub-inspector Marcus, women police and D-78 CRPF arrested one Sandeep Deswal (35) with 17.344 kg of suspected opium along with his vehicle, an ice cool white colour Renault Kiger (MP07 ZC6131) .

The arrested individual along with the seized items has been handed over to Senapati police station for further action.
