Drains cleaned to prevent flooding

Imphal, June 01 2024: Local clubs in Langthabal AC cleaned the drains in their respective areas to prevent any flooding.

The clubs, namely Social United Club Keibung Oinam Leikai, local clubs of Liwa Road and Khuda Liwa Naorem Leikai, carried out the cleaning works.

JNIMS director Dr L Deben also helped in arranging an excavator and garbage trucks for the same, following request from Keibung Meira Paibi, Canchipur.

According to locals, the area is often flooded due to lack of proper drainage system.

As such, they had made repeated requests to the authority concerned in this regard but no action has been taken up till date.
