Govt limits CMHT benefits in private hospitals

Imphal, September 28 2024: The state government has announced that, effective September 30, all treatments under the Chief Ministergee Hakshelgee Tengbang (CMHT) scheme in private hospitals will be discontinued, except for services related to dialysis, renal transplant, cardiology, cancer, neurology, and neurosurgery.

This decision follows a state cabinet meeting held on August 30, and has been issued with the concurrence of the finance department, informed an order issued by the health department.
