Imphal, April 23 2025: The body of Nongthombam Ningol Rk Ongbi Lakhibai (53), who was found dead hanging at her house in Sagolband Bijoygovinda Maning Leikai on April 21, was claimed by her natal family after the post-mortem at JNIMS morgue on Wednesday.

Her family performed the last rites of Lakhibai at Khurai Lamlong.

Meanwhile, her husband Rk Chaoba (70) has been arrested and a case registered against him.

Police produced him before the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Imphal West on Tuesday, which remanded him to 15 days in judicial custody.
