Imphal, September 22: The Zeliangrong Union, Jiri Zone in its meeting held today at Lamlong Bazar, Jiri has denounced the existence of Zeliangrong People's Working Committee within its jurisdiction, reports our Jiri correspondent.

ZU Jiri Zone chairman R Alum alleged that the new organisation was floated by some persons with vested interests to gain political mileage.

He also appealed to the Zeliangrong people not to be misled by the new organisation which allegedly does not carry mandate of the people.

The chairman further warned all individuals trying to disintegrate from the Zeliangrong apex body with dire consequences.
