Imphal, December 20 2014 : In a counter insurgency operation conducted by a team of Imphal West District Police commandoes, a member of Lalheiba faction of URF revolutionary group was allegedly apprehended from a room at Old Tampha Hotel at North AOC on December 18 last.

The arrested person has been identified as Yendrembam Deban Singh, aged 49 yrs; S/O (L) Y Tompok Singh of Bamdiar Mayai Leikai from whom incriminating articles along with 20 demand letters and two live rounds of 5.56mm ammunitions were recovered.

The Police Department claimed that he is involved in the collection of funds of the revolutionary group.

A case has been registered at Imphal Police Station.
