Kakching, June 20 2021: Kakching District VDF Welfare Association under the aegis of SP Kakching Victoria Yengkhom provided edibles on Friday to family members of 12 VDF personnel who have contracted Covid-19.Kakching District VDF Welfare Association president K Othelo Singh assured that they will continue to provide such aid to its members.

He also appealed to the state government to provide incentive to VDF personnel in recognition of their effort during the pandemic.

Despite receiving a meagre salary of Rs 8500 per month, VDF personnel are doing their duty as best as they can, he added.
