Imphal, March 04:
Close on the heels of recent withdrawal of operation by Kingfisher Airlines from the State, Joint Action Committee Against the Acquisition of Land for Expansion and Extension of Imphal Airport remarked State Government's efforts to expand Imphal airport as penny wise pound foolish move.
Maintaining that the State does not have much riders, Governement's dream to upgrade Tulihal airport to an international airport will be suited to the situation of Manipur only after 50 to 60 years from now.
Raising question over Amrit Singh Pahwa's efforts to resume Kingfisher Airlines' flights, the JAC said that it is not possible to run a private airlines service without profit.
