SEMCO students continue protest

Kakching, February 26 2025: Students of South East Manipur College (SEMCO), Komlathabi in Chandel district, continued their protest on Wednesday against transfer of the principal and appointment of a new one.

As part of the agitation, which began on February 24, students had locked offices of the principal and the A-block.

They have been staging protests in front of the college to demand revocation of the transfer/appointment orders.

The college's student union cautioned of sustaining the agitation till the transfer order of the principal has been revoked.

Due to the protest, the newly appointed principal has been unable to discharge duty.
