Imphal, September 25 2024: Security forces arrested an active member of the banned Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) from Lilong Lou Tara under Thoubal district on Tuesday.

Identifying the arrested KYKL member as Md Amir Ahmad alias Fajabi alias Fajaba (32), a statement issued by Manipur Police Control Room on Tuesday said Ahmad is involved in extortion activities.

A demand (extortion) letter of KYKL was also seized from his possession, the statement added.
