CNPO prohibits construction activities

Chandel, November 23 2024: The Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has prohibited any construction activities within Chandel district under the jurisdiction of CNPO without obtaining prior permission and consent from the concerned village authority and tribes of the area.

As per an office memorandum jointly signed by D Thamdok Francis, president and Sh Kalenchung, general secretary, CNPO, the prohibition applies to construction of roads, bridges, bunkers, checkpoints, border fencing etc.
