Churachandpur, September 20 2025: In a resolute counter-insurgency effort, Assam Rifles recovered eight single barrel 12 bore rifles from Village G Khonom in Churachandpur district yesterday.

According to a press release issued by IGAR (S), the cache of illegal arms was recovered during an operation carried out acting on credible intelligence gathered through internal sources and verified through detailed assessment.

The recovered arms were "suspected to be intended for use by anti-national elements" .
